Metal Roofing Resources
 The
Metal Roofing Alliance was formed in 1998 by a small group of
forward-thinking metal roofing manufacturers with the main goal
of educating consumers about the many benefits of metal roofing.
Founded in 1983, MCA
has as its mission "expanding the use of metal in construction
through marketing, technology, and education." MCA is an
industry-wide vehicle through which members of the metal in
construction industry can develop and implement both macro and
microprograms and activities to more widely promote the use of
metal in construction.
The Metal Initiative
is an industry-wide program designed to educate building owners,
architects, and contractors about the use and selection of metal
roofs and walls in commercial, industrial, and institutional
buildings.
The Aluminum
Association, Inc. is the trade association for producers of
primary aluminum, recyclers and semi-fabricated aluminum
products, as well as suppliers to the industry.
American Iron and
Steel Institute is comprised of producer member companies,
associate member companies, and affiliate member organizations.
Member companies account for more than two-thirds of the raw
steel produced in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Its
mission is to promote steel as the material of choice and to
enhance the competitiveness of the North American steel industry
and its member companies.
Established in
1921, AISC’s mission is to make structural steel the material of
choice by being the leader in structural-steel-related technical
and market-building activities, including: specification and
code development, research, education, technical assistance,
quality certification, standardization, and market development.
Cool
Metal Roofing Coalition
This site is
sponsored by the Cool Metal Roofing Coalition. Their mission is
to educate architects, building owners, specifiers, code and
standards officials and other stakeholders about sustainable,
energy-related benefits of cool metal roofing.
